Noises Overhead

Of everything, the thing that makes me the most uneasy here is the amount of low-flying planes that pass over the fort. Nobody else seems to notice much, but it really disturbs me. Not sure why, but recently there has been unusually heavy air traffic. There have been a few days when, from early in the morning until dusk, a big plane, a military aircraft or a helicopter was overhead about every five minutes, literally. At the beginning of the month there was a lot when the US handed over military control in the south to the international forces, but seems like much more recently. Makes me a little nervous. Can’t stop wondering what is going on. It's probably nothing, given the number of troops, etc., in the region. Tonight there have been jets flying overhead. It started during dinner then nothing for a while, but now three since I started writing this note. The thrusters are making my windows shake.

I kept going back and forth on this: do I post, do I not post? I can’t deny that there are things that worry me here. Everyday is not an excursion to an interesting place and flying kites, but maybe my worry is really a small thing.
